AMCRE Purpose: - Recruitment for Short Service Commission (directly Captain) into Armed Forces Medical Services. Date of Examination: - Usually conducted twice a year in the months of April & October Pattern of Examination: - (i)Those who are medical graduates have to appear in a written examination. Written examination consists of 5 Parts with 40 questions each to be answered in 3 hours. Part I contain 40 MCQs on Medicine; Part II contains 40 MCQs on Surgery; Part III contains 40 MCQs on Preventive and Social Medicine including Obstetrics and Gynecology; Part IV contains 40 MCQs on General Knowledge & Part V contains 40 MCQs for Personality Assessment.
