b) be a graduate, or be fully expected to complete all requirements to graduate before 1 July (for the Spring Administration) or 15 December (for the Fall Administration) of that calendar year, from a US medical school accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME); OR

c) be a graduate from a medical school not accredited by CACMS or LCME but listed in the WHO World Directory of Medical Schools or the FAIMER International Medical Education Directory and hold a valid pass standing* on the MCC Evaluating Examination (MCCEE); OR

d) be fully expected to complete all requirements to graduate from a medical school not accredited by CACMS or LCME but listed in the WHO World Directory of Medical Schools or the FAIMER International Medical Education Directory before 1 July (for the spring administration) or 15 December (for the fall administration) of that calendar year, hold a valid pass standing* on the MCC Evaluating Examination (MCCEE), AND be registered for CaRMS (Canadian Resident Matching Service) or be entering postgraduate clinical medical training in Canada under an agreement with a provincial medical licensing authority or other arrangement. (Please refer to section 4(D), “Attestation Form”, for supporting documentation required for confirmation of graduation status with your application, and 4(E) “Diplomas – Certification and Translation”.); OR

e) be a graduate from a United States School of Osteopathic Medicine accredited by the American Osteopathic Association AND hold a valid pass standing* on the Medical Council of Canada Evaluating Examination (MCCEE).

*A pass standing on the MCCEE is valid for five (5) years. If the five-year validity on the MCCEE has expired, a request for an extension must be submitted to the MCC with supporting proof of having taken formal postgraduate clinical training since passing the MCCEE. This proof must be issued by the university or hospital and signed by the Dean or program director. If no further postgraduate clinical training has been taken, the candidate may be required to re-take and pass the MCCEE before being allowed to apply for the MCCQE Part I.

Furthermore, conditional applications are not permitted. International medical graduate or student candidates must have obtained a pass standing on the MCCEE no later than November 2002 to qualify for the spring 2003 QE Part I application deadline or no later than May 2003 to qualify for the fall 2003 application deadline. However, in an attempt to accommodate candidates who obtain a pass standing on the February 2003 or the August 2003 Evaluating Examination and who wish to apply for the MCCQE Part I session immediately following their EE session, late applications (with the late fee) will be considered. Candidates MUST wait until their EE results are known before submitting their QE Part I application and payment. Late applications will be accepted on a space availability basis only.
