PLAB Jobs

Whether you are applying for limited, provisional or full registration, you must show evidence that you are in good standing with the competent medical authorities in the country or state where you obtained your primary medical qualification, and in any other countries or states where you have practised during the five years before you apply to the GMC. In each case this will normally be a Certificate of Good Standing.

hi every one i have a bad news for all of us :( the NHS is making things tougher and tougher for us......
Now what we are up against is a certificate of conduct

Certificate of good standing

Whether you are applying for limited, provisional or full registration, you must show evidence that you are in good standing with the competent medical authorities in the country or state where you obtained your primary medical qualification, and in any other countries or states where you have practised during the five years before you apply to the GMC. In each case this will normally be a Certificate of Good Standing.

If you are registered as a medical practitioner in those countries or states, the certificate you produce must show that you are competent to practise medicine and that you have not been suspended, disqualified or prohibited from practising.

If you are not registered we need a certificate or letter of past good standing which shows both those things, and which also states that you are of good character.

If you have never held registration in the country or state where you qualified, or where you have worked for the past five years, we need a letter from the regulatory bodies in those countries confirming that you have never held registration and that you are of good character.

Please be aware that in some rare circumstances it could take more than three months to process your application. If it does, we will have to ask you for a new declaration of character AND a new Certificate of Good Standing.
