AIPGE

No, it was not told before taking exams that AIPGE will have reservations. Never before in history did it have it. On fourth day of counselling u get to hear reservations crop their ugly heads!

Some moron politician went on air to hike reservations to 50% and encouraged some students of ironically so called backward classes to go to Supreme Court to give 10% at least saying ''try karne mein kya harz hai''. Court gives in!

Some kind of bargain, this one!

Good news- at least 700 top ranks escaped! Others? Well that’s how this country runs! Instead of enabling so-called-back-class to run the race better, you are cutting short the finish-line! If this is what you think will empower them, you are wrong. You will turn them into incompetent lot plus alienate and isolate them from the rest!

We are not against empowerment of those in need but
1. Why use an aberrant parameter like caste? Why not income, ailing family members, working members in family, etc.
2. Empower them- conduct classes, free books, financial aids etc. instead of cutting the throat of competition.
3. Ban surnames, don’t ask caste in any documents, and make asking religion or caste a crime! Do anything but for god sake don’t bury progress.

In a secular nation, first thing that’s asked in any competition is CASTE! God knows why these idiotic politicians destroy the future for votes today. But at least Supreme Court should have done justice to at least this competition which had not mentioned reservations while taking exams!
