Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) : These are 2 1/2 years' (30 months) courses. Course structure and content are in accordance with guidelines of the Dental Council of India. Candidates are eligible for entry after obtaining a registrable BDS degree. There are a total of 28 seats every year, 4 for each speciality.
Again, 85% admissions are made through UP State Combined Premedical Test (CPMT), 15% through the All India Examination conducted by the DGHS and there are 4 seats for nominees of Government of India.

Pedodontics & Preventive Dentistry.
The MDS degree shall be conferred after acceptance of a thesis and after the candidate has passed the MDS examination which is held at the end of 30 months. The examination consists of 4 written papers, clinical (or practical) and oral examinations.
