and regarding the RxPG credits, they are earned in the following ways:

Amount earned per post (new topic) for the poster - 10 RxPG Credits
Amount of bonus earned per reply for topic author - 20 RxPG Credits
Amount earned per reply for the poster - 5 RxPG Credits
Amount earned per character for the poster - 0.05 RxPG Credits

These credits can be encashed/adjusted for discounts/access (depending upon the offers) in various RxPG online services.

And don't try to abuse the system in order to earn more credits as this credit system is intelligent enough to ban you automatically from posting and reduce your credits to zero.

When you type a reply to any post here, the person who started the topic earns 10 credits and you earn 1 credit! So posting meaningful threads which will get replies increases your credits ten folds!

Hi Mahwish,

Whenever you make a post in RxPG forums, you get few credits automatically. The number of these credits are determined by many factors including the forum you are posting in, number of words in your post and the quality of your replies. If you post consistently useful replies and and your replies are quoted by other users, you get to earn more. If you start a new topic and it becomes popular and gets several answers, you earn these credits faster. Overall, it is a complex system but the simple answer is "use the forums for useful discussions and you will get the required credits"

I cant go to OSCE busters - as lacking 200 credits..

depressing.. 200 ponits needed for osce and the exam not too far..

yeah Great!!!! once I've achieved 200 credit I was happy that now i can access OSCE busters.yuppy..
but look at it.. you need 300 credit to ccess your self in EXAM CRAMMERS..
hey that not fair.. ab how i'll get these 300 credit..come on..we just cant sit online with RXPG to make credits n leave our Toronto NOTES!!!

hi all , i dint realise there was so much of value for credits-i just joined a couple of months ago and now i think i have a couple of thousands.but i just tried opening the busters and i could.That feels good.so keep using the site-it definitely helps u.

hey hi room, even i got confused with that scoring system for credit points.but now got all things cleared. but i dont think keeping that criteria of having minimum score for accessing material from the site is an absurd idea. not all people who log on go on and proceed posting their doubts and replies.think such a rule is to be ammoended.

Welcome to RxPG. We appreciate you for posting your views about the credit system in RxPG.

Most of the data in this website is free to access even for the non registered users. Even the data that is restricted by credits can be accessed freely via forums (although it is a tedious process as it is unsorted).

We have restricted the the sorted data only to give access to the serious users. The credit limits for getting the data is minimal and you can easily reach that limit by even posting one meaningful thread (that can get replies from other users). Please remember that ALL of this data is contributed by RxPG users who have taken the pain to discuss their doubts in forums primarily for their benefit but also for the benefit of the future users as well. We at RxPG have contributed by only sorting this data in a convenient and user friendly way. We have put the credit limits for two main reasons:

1. To avoid abuse of the data as many copy cat websites are copying the entire data verbatim from RxPG forums.

2. To ensure the freshness of the data - to keep the data fresh, we need to encourage participation from the users and thats why the credit system is there.

When we were pondering about introducing sorted data from previous discussions in RxPG website, the risk of this website becoming a "one way channel" was highlighted by some of the RxPG editors. RxPG was founded on the principles on being a community website and the danger of it becoming a "spoon feeding" website was unacceptable to us. But at the same time, we wanted to facilitate the use of the existing data in RxPG forums to help the general community and to help them save their valuable time which was being spent in visiting unneccsary pages in this website just to find few gems. Thats when the credit system was conceptualised and put in place.

We at RxPG are here to help you and we have discussed all the features in detail before putting them live on the website. We do understand that it is impossible to go through the entire 0.1 million+ posts on this website for anyone and thats why we are always thinking of new ways to make your RxPG experience more user friendly without contravening our main policies.

As always your feedback is welcome and we appreciate the people who actually take pain to write to us and discuss RxPG features.

Thanks for writing in.

In competitive exams most of the time one can not come to a definite consclusion about an accurate answer for some questions. RxPG website provides you a platform to discuss your questions with a wider PG community. Still if you can not come to a conclusion, it is wiser to rely on the common consensus rather than leaving the issue unsettled. You can use the "poll" option while posting a new nagging question thread and ask everyone to poll for the option they think is correct. That way, everyone can see what is the common consensus about the probable answer.

Remember, even the experts and "RxPG Authors" differ about the correct answers for many questions. As such questions are inevitable in any pg exam, you need to decide about what you are going to mark as an answer beforehand and not leave it for the exam day.

Still, this is just a suggestion. Any other ideas are most welcome.

Till now i havnt been denied....

I know u asked this to RXPG but i thought , i shall tell u my experience!
And as far as my experience goes we never get credits while posting in SITE forum!!
