Thanks @K_sara_sara ma'am for the reminder!
@RxPG_Team :belated happy birthday RxPG! Nice to see some old timers back here! But its wonder the b'day was missed. RxPG is now only about rumors, personal vendetta, arguments that escalate into virtual fisticuffs within a space of a couple of posts, all manner of 'activism' - frm reservations to corruption, and frm south-north discrimination to md/dnb to NEET. There is a palpable loss of civility, respect for the profession & colleagues, tolerance, humor, and for any differing opinion in general. There is less comaraderie and more one-up-manship on view. Shoutbox - which is the window to the site - has become a shameful congregation of amateurs who use filthy language, hardly befitting a medical student/intern. No wonder, there's less and less participation from new female members. Compare this with the situation till 2-3 years ago. This b'day should give everyone - rxpg team, old-timers and newbies alike - food fr thought about where this site is headed, and isn't the traits we pick up during pg prep phase goin to affect the future of indian medical fraternity? All of us need to ask whether or not the members are better behaved than 5 years ago. One reason i feel (i might be wrong) is the appreciable thinning of moderator presence, possibly because most of them are busy with residency and life after. This compounds the already tricky situation where aliases/nicks and multiple profiles create an absolute mayhem. The website is to blame too, for the slow pace of work with account verification. I had applied for it 1 year back, and am yet to receive a reply. I hope the team can give this issue serious thought and take corrective measures earnestly. Apologies if anyone found my ranting boring or offensive. |
