Help: How to protect my posted content against theft?
Many contributors of RxPG forums are frustrated by theft and reposting of their valuable contributions. Although many minor offending websites have been identified, one such web-master is doing it in a systematic way. We are aware of this fact and our legal representatives have been working on this problem. Meanwhile, to end the problem at its root itself, we have introduced a new feature (developed after complaints by NIC, plab2005 and several other RxPG Members), wherein anyone can protect their contributions against unauthorised copying. Using this feature is extremely easy.
To protect any portion of your contribution to text, you need to put that between two new tags i.e.
[tex]...portion of text to be protected [/tex]
It is the simple yet extremely effective. By using these tags, your protected text will be converted into an image. This image also can not be hot linked by other forums as in reality it does not exist!! You can also use your BBcode in between these tags and it will work as usual. Although it is not very complicated to use, few things can be kept in mind during the use of these [tex] tags.
1. Your smileys, links, formatting won't work inside these tags.
2. If you are providing a hyperlink, put it outside these tags as it wont work.
3. It is wise to use these tags to cover random and important bits of your contributions. Protecting a portion of each paragraph is probably the best way.
