Does the date on the medical school transcript matters? eg. Suppose I take transcript this year from my college & give exams & apply for the residency in 2017... will that transcript be accepted? or in 2017 I will have to take transcript again from my college?

Hi
Can you please tell me about USMLE coaching centre in Kolkata. Chopras were the only place where kaplan authorised coaching was happening in Kolkata. But I enquired with them recently and they told they have stopped working with Kaplan.

am taking my time will go thru all latest kaplan videos and attend latest uworld qbank at the same time will write AIIMS and PGI as i will be groin thru thier past questions
being a medical graduate am just not sure whether to do part time job or completely focus on study

Why not super specialise in India? You would probably earn same if not better than USA.
India is growing rapidly in medicine and our surgeons are probably as good as USA/UK. Look at Prof Shetty of Narayan institute.
Yes, it can help you if you have experience from abroad but then cost and moving life - is it worth it?

I am giving my final year exam in Dec 2016 and I decided to start preparation for step1 from January 2017 to give exam in july 2017...
My doubt is if I start paperwork for the exam registration from scratch from January will I be able to get schedule in july or will I be able to give exam in july??? will the preparation time be enough???

Also I am postponing my internship which would start from March 2017 until I give step 1 and then apply for clerkships after joining my internship here....is this plan feasible or am I forgetting something to take into consideration??

Is there something like before some month ,we should submit all our paperwork for clerkships since the intake will be closed after that month??if yes which is that month??also,that the doctors in us will be less busy in Feb,march,april so they will consider our applications ,is there something like that??how should we plan for clerkships in a given year??when should we ideally send our paperwork to US universities???

Yes you can and you should appear during medschool or atleast internship.
Since you can apply once you have your MBBS degree, if you take the steps before, you still end up losing about one year in between( interviews/match and joining). Earlier you take the exams, more time you have to focus on US clinical experience/ LOR's/ research experience.

That is not true. You need to register to USMLE site and get a form signed from your medical college.
Students in US take theis USMLE's in 4 years of medical school here and so is the expectation for IMG's (ideally).
Next time just call USMLE/ECFMG directly, they are very helpful people.

I think you have a genuine question. I think everyone should do electives/ externships/ observorships before deciding to start the usmle process.
Journey is long, no point doing unless you really want to do it.
