dear friends,
I request you not to make arguments more bitter ones.. take care while posting questions & posting answers.. (I am not pointing to particularly someone at the moment)
we are here not to quarrel or to compare different sites..
orkut is a different thing & RxPG is the website for medicos.. I don't feel any need to compare them.. nor I think we should prove any site better than the other..
as far as waste of time is concerned.. it entirely depends on the person.. just like television.. waste of time depends on how you use your time.. TV, computer, internet, mobile.. are inanimate things.. they cannot waste your time!! it's you have to decide where you want to spend your time..
sorry for interrupting with my 'philosophy'!! but as a moderator, reading 1st 4 posts, I thought arguments might take bitter taste.. so I thought I should interrupt here & warn the members not to miss TOS.. we have to maintain respect of each RxPG member..

Th difference between Orkut and RxPG is,
Orkut doesnt have any rules, RxPG has strict rules called RxPG TOS (Terms Of Service)

@ the member : no word against a group or a single such as personal or any comment that would affect the person or a community as a part or a whole is allowed in rxpg forum and is a serious violation of TOS .
this thread seems to invite members for such comments and in allways would inturn invite such violations .
@ the moderator : moderators action and / or openion is recommender for this thread .
moderator is welcome to edit or delete this post of mine if this is considered as a violation or unnecessary .

There are tons of resources in RxPG.
But thats not the case with other sites
