Try to include both alphabets and numbers in your password. U can use altered forms for alphabets. Example: A can be written as 4, or the letter l can be written as |. Avoid using birthdates,or names of loved ones or pets.

Re: FAQ: How to create a Strong Password?
BGM wrote: |
Password Cracking has become very common these days,
So its upto us to use a strong password.
Examples of weak passwords include,
* the word "password"
* the user's name or login name
* the name of their significant other or another relative
* their birthplace or date of birth
* a pet's name
* automobile licence plate number
* a simple modification of one of the preceding, such as suffixing a digit or reversing the order of the letters.
* a row of letters from a standard keyboard layout (eg, the qwerty keyboard -- qwerty itself, asdf, or qwertyuiop)
* name of your Ex-wife or Ex-Gf or a girl to whom you had a crush.
* a password made up of dictionary words only
* any common english name. |

Use combination of upper case and lower case of alphabets,numbers and special characters so it makes difficult to guess a password for a hacker.

make it as long as possible which is difficult to crack..also try n avoid regular words and instead use shortforms..one of mine was once upon a time IKAGAILI..which stands for I kissed a girl and I liked it..also try and include symbols like @, #, $ etc..in between or at the extremes

easiest way to keep a password and ardest way to crack it
the best way to remember a password and not easy to crack by others is this way
step 1: suppose if i use clostridia as password
use number 3 corresponding to letter c ( 1 for a, 2 for b and so on) and last letter in cap locks
and keep brackets or dollar symbol or any symbol of your preference before the start of password and end of password so my password will be
(2lostridiA)
i find this way is the easiest way to remember and hardest way to crack it

First three replies carries the best logic for a password.
Simple logic
A combination of minimum 8 character with
one capital
one special character and
one number.
And keep changing it every 2 weeks and dont use the last 5 old password

Try to choose a word which includes both alphabets and numerical and which is not very familiar with your day to day life as others might easily get it and can misuse it... u can write it down in a safe place in case you forget things easily as we doctors already have a lot of subjects to remember

the best way is to use the alphanumeric password systems that major email providers insists upon, using numbers capital and small letters. with special characters !#$% in between. they are very difficult to crack.

you can also add on letters from the sites URL so you have slight variations, but don't have to remember all the nuances: e.g. for Rxpg your password may be *********rx

I shall not elaborate on this since many sites have already discussed this in great detail. In a nutshell, a strong password must constitute the following:
It needs to contain special characters such as @#$%^&
It must be at least 8 characters long.
It must not have any common words such as 123, password, your birth date, your login name and any words that can be found in the dictionary.
a variation of capitalization and small letters
