Originally published in 1992 by Hearst Books, this book has been made available online by the Yale University Medical Library. Covering the entire spectrum of cardiovascular disease, this book is edited by three Yale University professors of medicine, and is aimed at a general audience. This book consists of 29 chapters which are arranged into six major sections on how the heart works, how to lower your risk of of heart disease, steps in making diagnosis, the major cardiovascular disorders, special situations, and methods of treatment.
