IgA nephritis (also known as Berger's disease and synpharyngitic glomerulonephritis) is a form of glomerulonephritis (inflammation of the glomeruli of the kidney). It presents with hematuria and generally resolves spontaneously, but a proportion of patients develops chronic renal failure.
