The correct answer is D.

The disease is chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML), which usually affects adults between 40 and 59 years of age. CML is associated with the Philadelphia chromosome, which is actually a translocation involving chromosomes 9 and 22 that produces an abl-bcr hybrid.

bcl-2 activation (choice A) and a t(14,18) (choice E) translocation are features of follicular lymphomas.

c-myc activation (choice B) and a t(8,14) (choice C) translocation are features of Burkitt's lymphoma.
