well, for this question platysma is a very alluring answer indeed.
However, do not forget that, though platysma is inserted into the skin in the midline below the chin, the most of it originate from the deep fascia.
It is a wide sheet of skeletal muscle which originates from the deep fascia and skin upon the lower neck and upper chest extending laterally on the either side.
Its fibres pass superomedially to-
converge with each other in the midline inferior to the chin and also with other muscles of facial expression at the corners of the mouth e.g. depressor labii inferioris and depressor anguli oris
The fibres insert into the inferior border of the mandible and skin of the face inferior to the mouth.
Thus while we an appreciate most of the muscle by stretching the skin in the midline below the chin, most of the origin n insertion of the muscle remains hazy.
The sternocleidomastoid, as the name suggests, originates frm manubrium Sterni and medial part of the clavicle
and is inserted into- the mastoid process
all thes 3 landmarks (viz manubrium sterni, clavicle, and mastoid) r obviously visible.
again, for masseter, though the insertion (Lateral surface of angle and lower ramus of mandible) can be adequately visible, the origin (zygomatic process of maxilla) is usually not.

The Soleus is a broad flat muscle situated immediately in front of the Gastrocnemius. It arises by tendinous fibers from the back of the head of the fibula, and from the upper third of the posterior surface of the body of the bone; from the popliteal line, and the middle third of the medial border of the tibia; some fibers also arise from a tendinous arch placed between the tibial and fibular origins of the muscle, in front of which the popliteal vessels and tibial nerve run. The fibers end in an aponeurosis which covers the posterior surface of the muscle, and, gradually becoming thicker and narrower, joins with the tendon of the Gastrocnemius, and forms with it the tendo calcaneus.
