A 8 month old child admitted in casuality dept. with a history of recurrent hematemesis from the past 3 days ......on examination baby was very pale, altered conciousness,no h/o fever. on palpation of abdomen there was hapatomegaly of 2 inches below costal margin,no petechiae on skin or mucous membrane , child was afebrile,...............the child was managed by ringer lactate as there was poor pulse ,then blood transfusion, then was given 3rd gen . cephalosporin. but with in 18 hrs . the child was dead inspite of rescuscitation.....though there was no hematemesis after admission..............what could have been the cause of hematemesis in that child??? and what could have been the cause of death?
