Sympathetic system controlls sweating (if u hav doubt over it then refer book). Anyone can explain why atropine which is parasympatholytic inhibits sweating & cause hyperthrmia in overdose.

M3 receptors are involved thermoregulation (sweat production), salivation and lacrimation. It is parasympathetic. icon_exclaim.gif

i will answe you simply

the sympathetic nervous system control sweeting . i agree with you but there is exception in the regard of sweeting .the postganglionic sympathetic fibres supplying the sweetglands are cholinergic not adrenergic as usual and so secretes ACH acting on M3 cholinergic receptors in the sweet glands so atropine which blocks all the types of muscarinic receptors including M3 receptors reducing sweeting
