hi maggi, ill tell u what i know abt cps. as u know cps is a state board offering pg diploma courses in various subjects, except, med and surg
many govt, bmc and pvt institutions offer these courses. eg: railway hospital, rajiv gandhi med clg, terna med clg, hn hospital, sion hosp. probably even ur own clg, if u r from Maharashtra .
now the mci recognition varies from clg to clg and also with the subject.
eg: dgo and dch offered by cps r widely mci recognised in most of these institues. but others may or may not be. u need to check out each institute for that. or maybe there is a list on cps website. so if a course is not mci recognised, u can practice only within Maharashtra .
ill try to find out that for u. they also have an office in mumbai, will tell u the adress soon.
however, most of the cps posts have been filled now, and u need to apply in june. there will be ads in the local newspapers, keep an eye on that. they have a preliminary mcqs test, of one hour, 100 marks i think, and then they put up a merit list. some places have an interview after that. and needless to say, seats which remain vacant after that, are sold.

Hi Dr ani, thanx a lot for ur reply...... Since I was travelling for the past few days, I couldn't check it earlier. once again thanx a lot, it would be nice if u could tell me some place for CPS in Pune( I'm not a graduate from Maharashtra ), that would be a great help.

im sorry maggi iv been very irregular in Maharashtra forum, hence the delay in replying. well about pune i have no idea, i guess ull have to go and enquire with all colleges and institutions.
i can try and find out the phone number of cps office if u still need it
