Non-Stress Testing
Why the test is done:

This test can be done in the later stages of pregnancy. It is more frequently used in cases where the mother is going past her assigned due date to ensure fetal well-being. In some cases it is done as a precaution after problems in a previous pregnancy or because of high risk factors such as diabetes, intrauterine growth retardation (IUGR), etc

IT IS DONE BETWEEN 38-42 WKS OF PREGNANCY CAN BE DONE AS EARLY AS STARTING OF 3D TRIMESTER IN RISK CASES ...

BUT I DIDNT GET YOUR QUESTION ... IDEAL TIME FOR WHAT..REPEATITION OF NST ?????

hey nidhi,

i think the q. is slightly different !

in Parihar........q.Non stress test in a diabetic pregnant woman valid for:

1. 24 hr

2. 48hr

3. 72hr

4.36 hr

also in ashish gupta from where u taken the q....

it is.....the ideal time for monitoring the NST is asked.

now coming to solution.......if we compare..Parihar is known for its

accuracy of reproducing the previous questions while A. gupta tends to

modify such question !

therefore if we take parihar's q. the ans given is 48 hrs !
