I do not think it can be POLAR as all causes of polar cataract are either VASCULAR, adhesive or incarcirative.......
and sumillarly as all errors of metabolism usually manifest after birth:; chances of involvement of foetal and emryonal nuclei are rare or next to impossible!!
Only logic guys...no real hard proof................... Ne corrections welcome !!

galactosemic cataract is typically central,in that case it cannot be polar!!!!

In galactosemia, a large pervcentage of infants develop bilateral oil drop central lens opacities within first few days or weeks of life, which can be prevented by exclusion of galactose in diet..

This clearly suggests that fetal & embryonic nucleus are not involved.. So it can't be lamellat, too.. & it is central..

So, 1, 5 correct, 2,3 incorrect, what about 4?
