its really confusing guys......
someone pls check the website
Only RxPG members can see links here! Register or Sign In!
thats the official mci website
it shows a different status fr lots of seats
seats which ve been given as NR in pgmcet5 brochure are written as recognised there

most seats in sion and nair hospital r recog acc. to m.c.i website whereas the pref form brochure gives all sion seats and lot of nair seats as approved only

pls suggest wot to do......wot is better- we should opt for all recog seats of any subject first n then others
or stick to the subject of choice n not bother about
recognition status
eg.if i want dgo should i opt dgo in recog cols only followed by my second sub of cjoice or fill all dgo seats irrespective of recognition

also i had met a dentist who had done his bds from bombay n he said his friends who ve done mds from non recognised seats in Maharashtra r now practicing without a problem even outside the state
in fact one of them is also the h.o.d in one a prestigious govt.college in delhi

is it the same for md seats also

kiki yaar India sab chalta hai....
MCI recognised ho ya na ho...
agar ppl recognise u .... U are superhit...
So if ppl in govt. recognise u ...U ll become HOD irrespective of what u know and whether ur seat is MCI recog.
one more thing private practise and all is ok but No SS is going to be problem for Gmed and Gsurg candidates....
Also one more thing i want to ask.....
lets assume the college in which is now MCI recognised and gets derecognised when we are in finals so what will be the status of our degree....
MCI recog or MCI non-recogn.....

Quick Scroll hi all 05.14.06 (2 years ago) #35

pls dont confuse yourself and just take a note of what i have to say...

if u wanna do DM or MCh stay away from non recognised seats(mci). but as far as diplomas are concerned go for the best institutes available as all the diplomas are university recogniged and thats good enough for DNB .

one more thing if u dont wanna go for superspeciality or taking a terminal branch like radio, orthopaedics ,etc then go for best institute available to you as i have opted for md radio kem ,jj,sion, niar, gmc nagpur, tata at rank order 18'th in cet in that order though jj sion and niar are not recogniged.

and as far as practice outside state is concerned u can anytime do DNB and even if u wanna go out of country DNB has better recognition as compared to mci .

so decide what u wanna do and then act accordingly ........ so that u dont regret ur decision at the end of the day. best of luck to you all.
