hey this all casual in politics. why do u worry. GOD has definite plans for each one of us .
as far as these minority institutions r concerned they have their own ethics and laws regarding their admission. they don give admission to meritorious ones
they don want their brain child to be drained by some one else so they pick them up and mold them again in the flame.
this is true concerning st.johns bangalore too. the same way of reservationa nd the marks etc etc

Hi,
As far as CMC is concerned, even if you are the best in academics, entrance test and interview, you should fulfill an important condition. You should belong to a particular sect of hardcore Christianity.. They don't mention it in the prospectus. They try to do everything different, just because it is unchristian to do otherwise.. Non christians should boycott such institutes.. as it is infested with half baked doctors who happen to be christians..

I really think people should desist from making statements about things they know nothing about. It is certainly not necessary to be christian to get into CMC, yes there is a quota for them. But then that is to be expected from a minority institution. I am telling you first hand that people who are meritorious can definitely make it to CMC. Biased statements like yours serve no purpose. Sour grapes ... methinks.

Hi,
In the name of a quota, what is going on thereis extremely biased and outrageous. Only CMC is biased. Not us. NO wonder the TamilNadu
Government is trying to create a Government quota in that institute.. If it is a minority institution, why does the institute goes around claiming that it is a top ranked institute, especially when it does not make merit based admissions?? Why don't they make the admissions proces more transperent, if they are clear in their heart? Why do they have to enact the stupid drama of shortlisting the people to a so called interview, when it is an absolute farce?? It is not a case of sour grapes as we don't ever apply to such places, because we know what will happen if we apply to such institutions which practice religious bigotry..Probably, it is unchristian to speak or think of truth and fairness..Hm...

For your kind information I am not a Christian and have been studying in CMC for seven years now. I have never felt any sort of bias against me because of my religion, instead I have always had all the encouragement that I have needed. It is the nature of any minority institution to have reservations for people of that religion because that is what a minority institution is meant for. I agree the selection process involving several stages may not make much sense to many and definitely favors ex-CMCites to some extent, but there are regularly good students from elsewhere who get in ahead of CMC graduates. And hey if you dont give it a shot yourself you'll never know the truth.
