A line of conjunctival inflammation on lower e\lid margin is diagnostic of...

a) Measles
b) Rubella
c) Kawasaki disease
d) Infectious mononucleosis

The answer given is a).... it is called Steiner's line... any ref?

Yes a line of conjunctival inflammation is seen in measles but its called STIMSON'S LINE.

REF NELSON 17TH EDITION PG NO 1028.
IN MEASLES, a ransverse line of conjuctival inflammation, sharply demarcated along eyelid margin , may be diagnostic assistance in the prodromal stage. as the entire conjuctiv becomes involved ,the line disapear..
so answer is measles..
