Hi,

I am only guessing but I would imagine we will be asked to review and critique a research paper.

Any ideas?

Yenal

Further information on this came from the [snip] Director, many thanks to him:

The research assessment is a Situational Judgement Test. This tests your response to various scenarios, and assesses whether you meet the core competencies in the National Person Specification. You cannot revise for this paper as this is the first time it is being used. It is a test of
judgement NOT knowledge. The paper is NOT a test of your knowledge in
research or statistics.

The marks in this paper WILL NOT AFFECT YOUR CHANCE OF SHORTLISTING. They are using this paper for research to develop a new exam for the future. Please do NOT worry about this paper.

Hi Nymphia,

I applied Mersey Deanery for 12-month GP Registrar. How about yourself?

To be honest, I am finding the [snip] very difficult. It just takes a lot of time to revise and makes me think I don't stand a chance at all. I find both [snip] and [snip] sites very useful. I have also got this acute general medicine self-assessment work book (by Kumar and Clark) which is great. What do you think of the [snip] yourself?

If you wish to chat further, my MSN is: [snip]

Good luck..

[quote="yenal"]Hi Nymphia,

I think they are good actually. They present full picture and good for revising all topics. Revision time long.. well there's no point doing it at the last minute and using online stuff is not always practical. At least with books you can take them in train.
