i think u r not getting the point dr.prashant. which is the most common site for tb arthritis. how can it be spine? spinal arthritis? i thought we had the answer but now im confused. pls do check this post too.

i would suggest you not to get confused by the word arthritis. Arthritis means infection of the joint as i have already said. and there are so many joints in the spine. so as far as i can understand the question, tuberculosis of spine is infection of the spine (usually on an average 3 vertebrae are involved, taht means at least 2 joints)
so i would go for spine as my final answer. you suggest me what you think on this.

cannot disagree with u fully, yet i am not convinced. pls go thru the table in maheshwari 3rd ed. page 169 and let me know ur opinion. spine is given under heading bone, and disease name is mentioned as tb spondylitis.
whereas arthritis comes under heading joint and hip is commonly affected. (acc to this table) can u give me sum other reference where things r less confusing pls?
