Soda Lime
+trichloroethylene (causes production of dichloroacetylene, a cranial neurotoxin and phosgene, a potent pulmonary irritant)

+ Sevoflurane - (unstable in soda lime) producing Compound A. USA recommends fresh fas flow rate of 3L/min. This is one of the reason for it being more expensive... we must use more gas for effective maintenance! It should be used for long perionds at fresh gas flow rates of <2L/min to produce Compound A!

Now an interesting relation:
The risk of production of Compound A is in order
Dry Baralyme > Moist Baralyme
Moist Soda Lime > Dry Sodaline
And in general for Baralyme >Sodalime

+chloroform -
chloroform (CHC13) undergoes a reaction with sodium hydroxide to produce CO ***

3. Carbon monoxide is produced (Worse in dry absorbent) with baralyme or sodalime

**(desflurane >= enflurane > isoflurane) >> (halothane = sevoflurane) with either baralyme or soda lime.
