i sent my passport for extension of visit visa to home office,uk in june'06.but i have been waiting for my passport since then.Do u have any idea about the outcome if i write to them .

Is there anybody has got this experience?

well if you have sent your passport to the Home office before the date your visa expires on your passport then your stay here is validated until your passport returns back.
Somethign similar happened to a friend of mine he didnt get the passport back for more than 8 months so he contacted them. All they were able to say is that its pending. So he withdrew his application to extend the visa and left the country.
not trying to scare you but, i'd call them and try to find out wht the exact situation of the visa is if i were u .
Either its pending for no reason or they are investigating it.

One of my friend had similar experience where her passport was not sent back she threatned to take legal action and went to solicitor and finally she got it, try chasing it up kepp them ringing may sound annoying but its your passport
