i think this thread has no more significance ... since the centre has no plans of starting / upgrading any colg in kerala to AIIMS status..

we are being neglected by the centre..

the strongest leader of opposition has become the weakest chief minister...

the honble health minister knows nothing else than to incessantly chatter..

whats the use of having all mlas and mps in the ruling faction at the centre.. nothing!

now an AIIMS is goin to come up in some desert in tamil nadu!!

gods own country with devil own people!

First of all congrats for starting such a thread...its good.
NOw some facts...We were never allowed any AIIMS ..what the center promised is to upgrade one of our MC's to institute status. Actualy 5 AIIMS are coming..including the one at TN...nope...not in kerala...And incidentally it is kotayam medical college that initially submitted such a project report for upgrading it in to an institute. Well well...politics politics...TVM emerged as the winner...And another fact is tthat all the UG and PG seats will go from the state merit to central pool...More domiciled's i suppose.

So we doctors must not get so enthusiastic about it...

And i personally think that Kozhikode MC is the best choice...Why...
you should se that campus...just beautiful..well planned...even TVM wont stand a chance. and less POLITICS

Its not politics....its the Beaurocracy
How else do u explain the fact that the last 10-15 years have had Health Ministers from Malabar almost continuously and still Calicut MC is neglected compared to TVM........in spite of serving 5 districts

Yup...i should agree with u on that. I mean look at ou health ministry. The ministers taking charge of it r people with no vision and a big attitude towards corruption. Be it the LDF or UDF. The medical education is completly out there in black..pitch black, i say...The doctors at MC's using housesurgeons and PG's like slaves for their benefit...good god..its hell out there...especially surgical specialities.

Its no wonder these big shots from institutes view our college like filth...god lord deliver us...

I HATE THOSE CORRUPT DOCS

AT THE MC. WHEN I WAS DOING MY INTERNSHIP I WAS FED UP WITH SUCH PPL. THEY MAKE US CARE THEIR PRIVATE PATIENTS AS GODS.
And they leave the poor ppl to rot! How cruel na?
