Quick Scroll Visa for EU national marrying a South African citizen in UK 12.27.06 (1 year ago) #1

Hi,
I am a EU national who is currently engaged to a south african citizen. I myself have lived in south africa all my life so we met there, lived together and got engaged within a year.
We recently came to the UK. I travelled on my EU passport and my fiance on his SA passport on a holiday. We plan on getting married by the end of January in the UK if all goes well with the certificate of approval.
My fiance only has 2 and a half months of his holiday left and I have decided I would like to stay in the UK for a couple months longer and would like him to stay with me. From what I understand to do so we will need to apply for a spousal visa.
I would like to know if anyone else has been in a similar situation and what steps they had to follow etc.
I am just worried that it will be declined because I havent lived here for that long (3 and a half months). I have a flat I rent and have a job. My fiance is not working as he is not permitted to do so. What are the chances it will be declined?
What are the best steps to take?

I would appreciate any advise. icon_wink.gif
Thanks!
Nicole
