ENT IN TRIVANDRUM MEDICAL COLLEGE

1-there are good teachers likeDrGopakumarDrJayaprabha...but the hod spoils it all..
exposure is excellent,u will get to see a variety of cases and will get to do them too..
infrastructure is good..i have heard of neuroteamed surgeries esp when DrMarthandan Pillai was here.but i haven't personally seen one.
i am not aware of bera in ENT but we seem to have in neuro dept.
there are three units, two admission days every week.there are two casualties, one in the main triage unit and another in the dept.pg posted in triage will be most probably in the dept esp after 10 at night.
patient attitude is ok.

we have a very good library and lrc.esp pg sxn is vast..
the course was recognised recently..

the pgs do not seem to be very happy here, they declare independence once the course is over..i have never seen such an attitude in any other pgs...seems to be bcoz of our dearest hod...who is unfortunately the viceprincipal toooo...

IF U ASK ME........TAKING A FIELD IS A MATTER OF CHOICE...
EACH FIELD IS SATURATED IF U ASK ME.. STARTING FROM IT TO MEDICINE.. IN VARIOUS LEVELS..
it all depends on ur passion for the field and ur capabilities

A good doc who is a superb physician is better off being that.. than trying to become an orthopedic surgeon bcos someone said so....

If u think u can excel in that.....go for it.....

Some thing offbeat- studies have shown that .. when u r in crossroads.. The answer what ur cognition/ hours of thinking gives is only less right than what ur heart says!!!

So ask urself what u would like to do.. everyday for the rest of ur life.....
If u love it........every day would be a happy one.. and even if times of hardships strikes.. u will remain happy....

That's just my opinion.... The ball is in ur court, dear player!!
