Quick Scroll Shortlisting ST 2007 02.25.07 (1 year ago) #2

Ho about those whose visa are soon to expired or have expired? There is no end to this torture. Thanks to BAPIO though for their hard work here in the UK. They really help the IMG's.

If the BAPIO appeal fails (hope it doesnt), will any job offers be withdrawn? There doesnt seem any end to this fiaso! You would always be teetering on the edge. DOH and HMG are hell bent on sending the IMGs out and it seems a better idea to quit when you are ahead rather than wait for them to kick you out.

Quick Scroll SHortlisting 02.25.07 (1 year ago) #4

Newbie,

I fully agree with you. My visa expired last month and I sent a new application to the Home Office but received a letter from them on the same day that MTAS announced that the ST shortlisting was delayed informing me that I should give them one good reason why I would like to remain in the UK, and whether I have booked my passage back to my country. If I answer NO to these questions, I was told my application will be refused.

I have decided to leave the country soon, even though I am shortlisted, because I know they will continue to torture us even on the job, just knowing how we got to remain here.

God Bless everyone of us and the BAPIO team.

Quick Scroll UK not to apply new immigration law 02.26.07 (1 year ago) #7

Britain has decided not to apply its new immigration law for now which comes as a relief for Indian doctors in the UK.

The decision allows up to 12,000 Indian applicants eligible for recruitment in the National Health Service this year.

A shortlist of candidates will be announced on Monday and interviews will take place in the first week of March.

During this time all doctors irrespective of their country of origin will be kept in abeyance and all doctors will be treated equally during the shorlisting of applicants.
