you are right, emg may show fibrillation potential in trichinosis.

its a non-speciifc finding.

o/w fibrillatn pot and +ve sharp waves indicate 'acute denervation' pattern but they may also be seen in trichinosis, rarely in pompe's disease and IBM also.
