First you should have clear idea before buying PDA.
For example:- there is no point in spending extra money for WiFi when you do not have that facility in your area.
First decide what you want from PDA, then it will become easy to find one.

to blue mars : i have a basic idea what i want a PDA for . namely 1) not to have to carry heavy books around 2) being able to brouse anywhere anytime 3) carry out mcq s 4) download from the net articles i can read on the move ect... any suggestions ...

Sorry for the late reply.


For your requirement I would say any basic model will do.
But make sure your PDA has both SDRAM and ROM, most of the new PDAs will have this feature (unlike previous models, your data will be safe even if your main battery is not charged for some time.)

Go for HP Ipaq Hx series (I do not have any idea about price in India)


And don’t forget to buy memory card to store your books.
