Quick Scroll help with digital cameras 04.21.07 (1 year ago) #1

hi everyone!
want help on some basics of digital cameras.
when looking for digital cameras- does the size of the screen matter?
what is the difference b/w digital and optical zoom?
what is the weather proof feature ?
what does night mode enabled mean?
thanks in anticipation

icon_arrow.gif Well size of the display screen will not have any effect on the picture quality. Only good aspect is that a big screen i always looks friendly to the users eye.

icon_arrow.gif In digital zoom the virtual image is zoomed by the camera's operating system, so that the image is magnified but the quality of the picture will be reduced.

In optical zoom the zooming is made possible by the camera lens, so that the picture quality wont be reduced.

icon_arrow.gif Weather proof means dust or water will not enter through the body of the camera. However lens will always be vulnerable to weather.

icon_arrow.gif Night mode means, the camera will adjust itself to operate in an area with less sunlight, In night mode it takes more time to capture a photo.
