Interested to hear what you are doing in your institution for Acute surgical patients on clopidogrel. In Our hospital (Frmantle) there is a move from the orthopaedic surgeons to defer neck of femur Fracture patients for 5 days if on this drug. Leaving these patients in bed for 5 days increases the risk of DVT/ Pneumonia etc and i think the increased bleeding risk is out weighed by the benefits of being able to mobilise the patients. What is happening in your patients and how many days post clopidogrel are you happy to use regional techniques

hi,we do deffer surgery specificaly if pateint is high risk for genral Anaesthesia , literature do reccomends deffering neuraxial blockade for a week
