Hi,
I have joined AMC this year via all india quota.Albedon was instrumental in me deciding in favour of AMC.Thank you.
Few things i wanted to clarify.
-There is no bond in AMC via AIQ.
-You dont have to give any certificae in original if you are entering via AIQ
-All you need to give is your photostats
-No room available in PG hostel this year because they are seating a lot of people fom the ester years to finish the back log.As a result there is no back log now.
-The fee this yr was Rs 9600.
-Stipend is supposed to be Rs 7000 in first yr,I havenot got it yet but i heard so.
-Dibrugarh seems a very nice place, the only problem being rain.It never stops raining over here.

This may not be useful now but it may help someone next year.

its a goverment college buddy u can only enter either thru state enterance or all india quota since u dont have domincile of Assam u can come here onl through all india enterance...any other information do lemme know

I have studied in AMC Dibrugarh. Its a very very beautiful place sorrounded by huge Tea Gardens and the great Brahmaputra river. It is one of the Oldest Medical Colleges of India and was previously called John Berry White Medical School named after a famous person who first established it. AMC is a good college for studying both MBBS and Post Graduation Courses. Since last 4 years there have been lots of upgradations, modifications and betterment in the faculty and facilities in Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh. Definitely you cannot compare it with AIIMS ,PGI Chandigarh,MAMC or CMC Vellore but it is at same status with lot of good govt. medical colleges in India. If you go to AIIMS and APOLLO Hospital Delhi,you would find Senior Residents and Consultants in various specialities and Superspecialities who have passed their PG and MBBS from AMC,Dibrugarh, Assam .
