i would prefer an MD over a diploma whatever the course would be..
anyways md micro has a much better scope than d path

I guess it depends on wheter u belong to a city or a ssmall place.MD micro can practice in a city as there is not much awareness about micro in smaller areas.dip path can work anywhere.

still I think an MD is better than dip

hey ladybird.....micro is cool...finished one year of it..it's nnot that bad( i was cribbing a loott in the beginning...wamted some clinical sub)....and who was talking about a diploma in hosp infection control...can anyone fill me onit..i thought they just had fellowship programmes on infectious diesaes and on lab immunology inSGPGI IN LUCKNOW....would love to know about more courses after and MD degree.....

Hinduja hospital also offers fellowship programmes for infectious diseases.there are diplomas in infection control offered by universities in UK,one I know of is LSHTM,but its damn expensive.I believe they even have a masters,but it wud cost a bomb!
