Wht branch of Path are u interested in? i think u shud first get a feel of Pathology . As u have recently joined MD i suggest that u spend some time and decide what u r interested in. U need to complete 2 yrs of training in that subject to Appear for part 1. other guide lines are on the rcpath website. please go thru them
