thanks a lot for the advise and well wishes..but one more doubt ..you had posted elsewhere to opt for madurai or thanjavur ahead of kmc,chennai..why is it so..i heard royapetah is almost as good as stanley or mmc case load wise..and also on what basis are students posted in kilpauk or royapettah.please help bcoz i may also be in such a position as to choose that col?..

well,as far as i know the case load is max in mmc.
then comes stanley.
but case load in periperal colleges like madurai and thanjavur is more than kmc/roya
its the number of cases that matters.
taking kmc and roya, these hosp dont have neuro surgery.so,almost many trauma cases like head injury with abdomeninal injuries are reffered to mmc.
but this is not the case in periperial colleges.they have sep neuro sur.
bcos v have a excellent GH,patients prefer mmc and then stanley.
for roya u will be alloted as kmc candidate.the dean and the HOD will allote u either to kmc hosp r roya hosp.its there wish and there is no protocol.u need some backing to get ur desired hosp.
gen sur in kmc is better than roya.

i dnnt known whether its ava in allind.
MCh 5yr neuro in TamilNadu is ava in
mmc
smc
mmc - madurai.

but mmc neuro is regonised by mci.
mmc - 2 seats for non service
smc - 1 seat
mmc madu - 1 seat.
MCh neuro is somewhat easy to get through tn entrance.

all units in general surgery do lap surgeries.
but its confirmed to chief and assistance.
v do get chances to put ports, hold cameras r graspers.
But in stanley only few units handle lap surgeries.

what about lap exposure in mumbai colleges?
