Quick Scroll IELTS is NO Longer pre-requested for AMC exams 06.25.07 (1 year ago) #1

hi guys this what i found on AMC web site very delighting news :
MPORTANT INFORMATION ON THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY FOR AMC EXAMINATION

From the 1st July 2007, the English Language Proficiency requirement will no longer be a prerequisite for AMC candidates in order to commence the AMC examination process. Any candidate who undertakes an MCQ examination AFTER the 1st July 2007 is not required to fulfil the English Language Proficiency requirements for eligibility to sit the examination.

Quick Scroll don't fall for these bluffers! 06.25.07 (1 year ago) #2

Hi Guys!

See inbetween the lines of AMC buddy! Aussie wanna tap the market of overseas docs by taking IELTS out of the way for AMC-but if u look further on the new regulation-they say the IELTS rules will be on for the medical registration as per the induvidual medical board policy!
So it means u will have AMC but no job in Aussie to work without ILETS! Isn't it irony? I thought the purpose of AMC is to get a job!
Think twice dear! Thats Aussie for ya! Any way welcome to Aussie! Have fun!

i was supose to go for the registration of IELTS ... just a 10 hours before my friend call me in the night and break the news... so i just saved my money as well as efforts..

i think its a good step..no mater how long the AMC process takes.. we would have to appear for the IELTS only once just before when required for the medical board of the state.... atleast it will save the number of times u appear for the IELTS exam

Yes it's true. But for registration purposes, you will eventually have to take IELTS . For more information, please refer to the AMC notice.
