Few facts, hard to find:

MinDV is still better than DVD-Better quality and editing options

Only Panasonic productline geatures 3CCD camcoders in the consumer models. Sony 1CCD/single chip. So excellent quality for Panasonic 3CCDs.However lowlight perfomance better for Sony because of the bigger CCD size.

Price something under 30K

Bye

Hi peela. For £500 you can buy decent camcorder. Have you looked in PC world or Dixon’s (assuming that you are in UK)

There are so many new models with loads of features . It is good idea to visit the shop and look for yourself for style, specs and wt etc. if you like, then note down the model details and look in online stores. There are some very good ones.

Most of the new ones are small and light weight.
