Hi evrybody,Ihave just joined MD.Micro 2 months back.I m doing it from Mumbai.I m supposed to submit a thesis topic from mycology[fungus] section.could some of the senior suggest me something.thanx in advance.

mycology is lovely topic to select,very interesting indeed
some suggesstions cud be
- candida sepsis in neonates
- cryptococcus speciation in HIV pos
- mycotic keratits
- spectrum of fungal infections in immunocompromised
like chemotherapy/hiv pos/renal transplants
- onychomycosis
-fungi affecting the resp tract
- prevalance and spectrum of candidial infections in vaginal candidiasis

cud think of only these as of now.but do check ur college lib or department lib for past works in mycology

Thanx aap .It was really nice to get that piece of information.I m mostly thinking of candida albicans and non albicans in blood culture of immunocompromised and neutropenics.
