Quick Scroll Bengali clinical attachees in my hospital 07.14.07 (1 year ago) #1

I was delighted when I was first approached by a clinical attachee in our unit, saying that she heard I was a Bengali and she is also from Bangladesh.
I got a bit wicked. I showed her everything and helped her in many ways that I did not do for attachees of other nationalities. They were watching us, but I simply did not care.
I advised her regarding getting GMC registration, how to get noticed by the consultants, when to catch them, how to deal with the medical staffing for getting locum, etc. I showed her various websites for job applications, even supplied answers for application questions. She got her registration by persuing the consultant and now doing locum in our unit.
Again, one day another new attachee sought me out and asked politely, are you Bengali? When he first came he asked everyone if any Bengali doctors were here, and everybody told him that I was the one. So, here comes the next one. Same thing again, I made him do the practical procedures, advised him to go after registration.......etc.
Now he has his GMC registration, got selected for F1.

To be continued.............
(I shall write the next episode another day, bye everyone!)
