Just arrived in Belgium in the university of Ghent...to study Master in food science and nutrition on scholarship. This is a very good course for every aspirant public health nutrition professinals as it aims to teach so that multi faceted solution of nutrition problem could be sought for....The course is taken by students of africa, south asia, south east asia, europe- a true international blend and modus operandi in the course subjects are interactive with theory, exercise, discussion, seminar, round table...bla bla
will right later about subjects taught

hi mac7, it seems that you want to do post graduation in clinical discipline in belgium. As i am at the public health domain i dont know yet as to what exactly is the admission system in clinicals...I will try to get info about it. You can see the website of the ghent university....its medicine faculty is the biggest in belgium with lot of sub specialities. Not the french but the dutch is required for higher studies in most of the disciplines in belgium ( In northern areas).
Thanks...

Dear fellows, I am sorry that I could not make opportunities to explore about the medicine career for the Non EU citizens in Belgium. May be I am bit self centered as all the time I was submerged in my public health course....anyway as long as I understood, there is no straightforward way to work as a medical professional....probably the easier way is to become a Belgian citizen...marrying a Belgium is one option but not conceivable to most of us....and other options for the citizenship are not sophisticated, time consuming...and doesnt worth for contention by a well educated person like a doctor.....another way is, studying a post graduate course/phd in a relevant clinical disciplines ( eg radiology) and in the way getting post graduate specialist training in the hospitals...and then who knows, out of shear odds one might get an employment....but studying clincial course is very expensive and scholarships/TAs almost non existent, making it a highly improbable proposition...
Now, my question is, why are u interested in Belgium ?.....first, all the clinical courses are offered in either dutch or french...u have to learn either of those beforehand....secondly, there is no direct entry system like those in other countries, e.g. MLE in US, PLAB
in UK....AND, common with some other EU countries oppprtunities of the cream jobs ( e.g. university teacher, doctor, lawyer etc) are very very limited....
