Raju077, being mod of this thread be honest. i am with lviv in and have visited and am in touch with odessa so can say lviv too is equally good but better. lungask no much idea but vinitsaya okay report. kyiv is best except english medium but have french medium available. lviv is having highest tution fees compare to all other ukrianian medical university but again it justifies it higher cost by its standard.

Bhaiyaji, i dont understand what you mean with be honest, next time you say that, i will ask you to have some MANNERS.
Secondly, I have been to Lviv and to the University as well.
The students from LVIV itself told me that OSMU feels a little more better, so why dont you ask them to be honest?
And i am the Moderator of this entire FORUM< not only this thread.

One last thing, it's very difficult to rate all the Universities in Ukraine, every University has their own advantages and disadvantages. Anyone who need admission to a particular college in Ukraine, please personally talk to representatives, faculty and students of that particular university and then compare and decide.

Hi Kary,
I shall answer your query with multiple points, since the answer to your question is a little complex and generic.
1. You need to qualify to get admission in a PG course in Ukraine, you need to have atleast 6 years of Medicine in college.
2. Union Minister Ramadoss has said that 10 more countries shall be recognised for PG degree, including Russia
. No news about Ukraine yet. But I think by 2-4 years, Ukraine might be recognised. I believe PG degree done in english in Ukraine or any other such country might be recognised eventually. No guarantees right now though.
3. You will get jobs in private hospitals only, and not government hospitals. For now, since the PG degree from UKRAINE is not recognized, you can practice in only private hospitals.
IT also depends upon your skills, or any connections for you to get a job in a private hospital.
Hope all of this answers your question.

Thanks very much for the prompt reply.
Well I saw the MCI site and there some guys have registered after doing PG from Lugansk univ. and also Lugansk website shows MCI recognition.
Regarding this 6 years of medicine well the agent from Lugansk in India says I can get admission so is he lying or anything fraudulent in it.
I am sorry to bother you with so many queries but it is not only money but also time that I will be investing so wanted to double check from students who have been through the setup.

1. MCI recognises the colleges because of their MBBS degree, not PG degree.
2. You will get admission, but you may not get a PG DEGREE at the end of it.
3. Ministry of Ukraine (Health) and the Indian embassy are at loggerheads if an Indian student comes from India with a 5 year MBBS degree, they wont offer a Degree that is recognised as a PG degree by the Embassy of India.
4. This the only reason why Odessa State Medical university has stopped giving admissions to students from India.
5. Please confirm with Lugansk University if they will give you a degree that is recognised as a PG degree by the Ministry of Health Ukraine and Embassy of India.
