Since This topic was started by me more than month ago ..and no one bothered to answer it icon_smile.gif

I have finished my attachment / i would like to share my expereince.

Atachment was not much useful.although i attended ward rounds.clinics and referalls .

I was standing invisible for consultant in the rounds.. never asked any questions .

My English SHO would never bother to say Hello.

My Indian registrar was quite good .he answered all queries when ever asked.Perhaps he has gone through all this so he understands .

I learnt few things about the system ,referals etc ,Rest was the same as any hospital in the world.

My consultant gave me good reference at the end. thats what i wanted icon_biggrin.gif

you know i'm beginning to think that those hospitals who ask for PLAB 2 pass, Gmc registartion and Visa status and all are trying to look at possibility of absorbing one if opening arises in the hospital or what do you think?

its not dat edoc...itz just they being on da safe side...if at all attachees' examine patients, dey will know how to talk/clinical skills et al (uk setting) ...clinical attachment is no guarantee for jobs in dat particular hospital ...100% sure

interesting to note that so many ppl are still brave enough for look for attachments!! do you guys all have british citizenship/leave to remain???? I found the forum very helpfull when i was searching attachment in early 2005........just came back to relieve some nostalgia.......i hope you guys realise that for ppl like us to get a job.......MRCP /MRCS /attachments/md/ms what ever is like toiletpaper compared to having a valid visa for work.......speaking from experience.....not to discourage any1 takecare and god bless
