Quick Scroll MRCPath part 1 preparation in UK for march 2008 12.22.07 (7 months ago) #1

Dear friends,
I am a new frog in this pond. I have done MD in path from India and am now in uk (unemployed). My husband works here in UK.
I want to appear in MRCPath 1 in march 2008, but haven't got a clue where to start from. I need some guidance.
1) are there any practical exams for MRCPath 1? IF YES, how to prepare for that if i have never worked in uk?
2) what books (for text AND also for MCQs) should I read? and where to get them from?
3) What online question bank or helpful websites are available?
4) How long does it take to prepare for it?
5) any chances of buying second hand books?
6) A study partner will be highly appreciated.

Thanks. Have a Merry christmas and a wonderful new year ahead.
cheers

dear AAP,
thanks for reply.
i have been through rcpath website thoroughly. i dont think there are any answers to these question on that website.
i am trying for attachment, but it will take 2-3 months as many formalities are needed before medical staffing approves it.
I will be grateful if you can help with my querries. are there any online question banks? I wish to do histopathology.
What is your stage of training? are u in UK? if yes, where? are u in a job here?

thanks
