Hey guys i received the certificate of advanced standing today. Now have to wait till the medical board changes the legislation. Hope it will be soon...

Hey docamar!

Did u have any prior work experience in the UK ?

I've come to understand from the amc that, if u have performed ur internship back in ur country and passed PLAB 1&2, Good standing certificate from the GMC , and full reg certificate is sufficient to obtain Advanced standing !!
Would you be able to shed some light on this pls !

Hi Gaffy!
Yes i have 3 yrs experience from UK. Regarding Advanced standing you need 12 months UK experience+PLAB +Full Registration+CGS.
If you go to AMC website itz clearly stated there and you can do self assessment as well.

Is that true,that when applying for general registration under CA pathway AMC is asking candidates
to do 6 months of medicine and or A&E. ??????
