Coarctation of the aorta is associated with other congenital anomalies such as bicuspid aortic valve (70%), patent ductus arteriosus, ventricular septal defect, tricuspid atresia, and transposition of the great vessels.

Noncardiac associations include berry aneurysms in the circle of Willis and Turner's syndrome. Diagnosing coarctation early is important to prevent associated complications including aortic aneurysm, dissection, and bacterial endocarditis at the coarctation site or bicuspid aortic valve

carotid sinus massage sometimes stops SVT because
a) it decreases sympathetic discharge to SA node
b)it increases vagal discharge to conducting tissue b/w atria n ventricle
c)it increases vagal tone to SA node

what shud be the ans is it option B or C.. ?

This "vagal tone" reduces the resting heart rate down to 60-80 beats/min. The SA node is predominantly innervated by efferent branches of the right vagus nerves, although some innervation from the left vagus is often observed

I think it increases vagal tone of SA Node
