They ask this kind of question to see your personal attitude and judgement. While answering them try to answer them as STAR.
S is the situation
T is your task in that situation
A is your action
R is the result from your action and this one should be positive

Situation is the problem which you faced, task is the plan or thinking that you came up with to resolve the problem, action is your work that time which helped most and result is the problem resolution.

They ask this question to know about your career history. You should start from your graduation and finish upto your latest achievement.

Thanks degruchy, do we need to tell them the details of medical schol rotations also or we can just say I grauated from there-- and then worked in my home country for 7-8 years-- then what we did in Canada .

How long it should be. 4-5 lines bcz anyhow they will ask abt what you have done here in detail

Yes you can tell them your graduation, what you did in your home country(what type of practice-office based or hospital based or both),any post graduation you did, what exams you have cleared in Canada , what you have done in Canada and currently what you doing here. You can talk about you atleast three minutes and if you practice it will be lot more than 5/6 lines.
